Abstract: The main goal of this project is to examine how existing scientific knowledge can be better utilized for reducing the uncertainities and increasing the time horizon of fish stock assessements carried out by ICES and other stock assessement agencies / institutions, and evaluate implications for fishery management. Investigate whether existing oceanographic and biological time series, or other available data, can be used for testing theories which would expand the scientific knowledge relevant for fish stock assessements, and propose future coordinated research.
